I think what Snobothehobo is trying to say, that if you start up some topics, you have better chances of drawing in members. Who will then in turn have something to do on your forum and post in your topics. You have to do a lot of work at the start of a forum to get it active! Good luck though! Really start up some creative and interesting discussion topics!

I visited your forum, and
In one way it is nice, looks real fancy, the problem I had is I couldn't hardly read any of it. The color combinations, and the letters being so small. As a artist myself, the name, caught my attention. I don't mean to sound "critisizeing", but it really was hard for me to read..don't know if others feel the same or it is just me. Ok well anyway it is off to a good start.
