Would any graphic designer(s) be interested in a graphic design contest?
More Information:
There could be a single battle, collaboration battle, or tournament bracket we could host every week/two weeks/month in the appropriate board. Either staff, members or the contestants could agree on the guidelines.
Guidelines might include but not limited to:
Type: Banner, Signature, Avatar, Website Layout
Size: Minimum and Maximum pixels, any
Theme: Nature, Space, Media, Sports, Special Interests, any
Style: Abstract, Grunge, Photo-Manipulation, Vector, Typography, Modern, any
Stock Images: Yes, No, Allowed
Brushes: Yes, No, Allowed
Colour Scheme: Light, Dark, Monochrome, Any
Basically, whoever is setting the guidelines (one staff, many staff, contestants, many members) would choose the graphic requirements. The text in red would be basic requirements I think should be used in all the contests, while the others are optional depending on who is selecting the guideline for submissions. This is only a prototype; suggestions are needed for each requirement/requirement type.

--- Theme can be as broad as "Media" or specific as "Singer/Movie/Actor/Actress" etc
--- Styles can vary greatly. Other styles can include, "Macabre/Horror, Conceptual, Emotional, Surreal, Futuristic" etc
---While Colour Schemes may be optional, I think it would be really cool sometimes to set it as "Blue Yellow Red, Black Red", etc.
When it is time for the entry to be submitted, staff or one of the contestants would create a poll in the appropriate board, and agree on the number of days the poll will run. Finally, let the members vote for the selected amount of days, and viola, we have a winner!
At any rate, all of this is useless if we don't have any participants. I am in, and to get started, we really only need one more; although it would be nice if we could have multiple contestants for each week or tournament brackets.
