I finally found a good non malware tool to tune up a PC 😛
I personally have a rather old laptop that boots slow. So I downloaded AVGs PC Tune up app and it works great. The trial only lasts for one day so use all the features as soon as you can. Im not sure how much it costs after the trial though.
http://www.avg.com/us-en/avg-pctuneup I hope someone else will find this useful too!

I always liked avg and I'm definitely going to try this, thank you for the tip.

Thanks. 🙂 You could try Iobit advanced system care, which Is free forever.

Thanks, I give it a try.

You can get a 199 day trial of Advance System Care Pro 6.2 paid version by Iobit by filling out a simple one page survey at http://survey.iobit.com/game/ about your gaming habit, but you need to provide your e-mail at the end of the survey to send you a key for it.

Nice. 🙂 Also take a look at the Comodo pc care tool. Its free forever aswell. 🙂

I like Iobits system cleaner! Pack it with MBAM and SUPERantispyware and you are golden 😛

I don't like those "tune up PC" things because I think they are just eating memory and do nothing.
For tunning my PC, I use CCleaner and Defragler (which is made in same company as CCleaner). In CCleaner there is registry cleaner and regular cleaner for unused files, browser cache and such. Defragler is like that defrag program you have with Windows but this one is better.

You can easily disable them from running at Windows startup, so they don't run after Windows startup, so they don't use any memory.

In my experience, Tune Up Utilities, and Advace System Care only use a few MBs of memory when running in the background which should not slow down most modern PCs with 3GB or more RAM, and a multi-core CPU.

PC Tune Up programs defrag your hard drive, do disk cleanup, registry cleaning, and sometimes even malware scan automatically when your computer is idle, not doing much, scheduled maintenance time set by the user, or when you click the Scan and repair button.

They save people time since people who use a program like Tune Up Utilities don't need to manually run CCleaner, and Deffragler every few days, or once a week.

I use them because there really are registry errors 😛 My computer will slow down because of them

I think most System Utility programs also defrag the Windows Registry, and also cleans junk registry keys, so the registry uses less disk space on a hard drive, and less RAM when it is loaded to the RAM during Windows startup.

I also like the Turbo Mode in System Utility programs since it makes disabling File search indexing, bluetooth, visual effects, and animation, background defrag, and many other un-needed background programs to free up RAM and CPU cycles very simple by just clicking the Turbo button shortcut on Tune Up, or Advance System Care.

I used Iobit system care and It found 3gb of junk files which where logs!. 😱

Those can be useful, Dennis. Be careful and don't blindly delete what a program says is junk, ALWAYS review.

Logs are useful if your software like MS Word crashes a lot, but Logs are usually safe to delete since Logs are mostly text files which record crashes, freezes, and errors for you to read in a text file with notepad.

I think if you re-install your software, it will create a new log file, and log files are created automatically when something needs to be logged for the PC user to review to fix a problem.

I mostly delete logs since I don't really view logs to fix problems. I mainly just uninstall and reinstall a program which fixes the problem in many cases, or I search the web with Google or Tech forums for a fix from someone who has a similar computer problem.
