Am I doing something wrong?

Is it just me, or are the archives not extensive enough... It seems like not
many people go to a "general" forum.. Do I need a bigger archive in the
database, or maybe more forums?!

Why do people not post or join?!

Chat forums sued to be full of active members and post but no days there too many which mean less people like them. Here some tips:

  • Get a banner. The one you have now just say the forum's url and © thing which should be the footer.
  • Do some post exchanges, get a Package, and get a review.
  • Make your forum unique! No one want to see 2 or more forum that look like and have same threads or forums.
  • Use a other skin. The one you have now is ok but it could be better. Also if you get a unique skin it will make more guest join. http://pixelraider.com/phpbb-design.html you get your own skin.

Sometimes you can do everything right and still no success. I have around 500 visitors a day yet next to none join. It's all luck of the draw really.

yeah sometimes you'll get one or 2 people a day who will sign up and take part in the forum. Just hard to know what the guests want to see and the content they want.

A few suggestions for your site:
  • Banner! This is massively important as its the very first thing a guest will see... And yours is less than impressive to say the least. Try the Graphics Request forum here at FP, the guys there are great at their jobs 🙂
  • Theme: your theme is alright, but I'd suggest something a little more friendly for a chat forum.
  • Moderators: you have each individual admin listed as a mod, why not just set it to show "Moderators: Administrators", or even leave that part out completely until you have actual moderators for it.

Just my 2 cents 🙂
