If you had made him a mod he might have defaced your foirum, so I just suggest you ban him forever. You do not want a hacker as a member.

ok. His account will be deleted soon. but I'm glad I caught it just in time. I had announced on my board I wouldn't be there thats why he must have hacked the testing account which was a global mod!. I was helping someone and i didn't even finish helping them. I feel so bad because they need alot of coding and mods done to their site.
but man I have to get my computer looked at and I've ran all kinds of test. I didn't feel comfortable messing with the guts of their site knowing there could be a hacker somewhere watching my computer.

It depends how it was hacked. If your cPanel/FTP is online then you can re-upload your last backup,. assuming you have one.

Well it's kinda hard to do all that when your CP is blocked perm and the fact that they have hacked your email account so your not able to email the support team and that your not able to log into your FTP as the FTP account has been removed and the fact that there is no way of communication or logging into anything to gain help...

I doubt they will trust you on a different email account saying you was haxxored.

hacked guy: "doooood, I was haxxored give me a new password for my ACP for my site!!!"
support guy: "w/e, crazy guy... Ima leave now. 😀"

If someone hacks your forum:

A. Does not mean they have hacked your e-mail.
B. Does not mean they have hacked your cPanel.

So yes, a simple restore would be needed.

OK, I should have rephrased that to "hacked by a good hacker." 😛

Actually if they do hack you via shell they will have full access to the CPanel. 🙂 Just so you know. >.>

+ I would have hacked all the email accounts and everything else of importance to make sure the hack stays there forever.

Well it is quite hard to hack an email address unless you're stupid enough to have the passwords the same as your cPanel.
