Hackintosh

Have any of you ever built one? What was your experience like?

I have a new iMac so not interested in one right now but in the future it might be cool to build my own and customize it how I like.

I don't even know what a hackintosh is... I would never buy apple products anyways they're all horrid and overpriced.

Never owned or made one of these. Considered it once, but the Apple hardware is good enough in my opinion. It's hard to get displays with the same quality as an iMac or Retina Display MacBook, and their hardware is really good in general as it it.

A hackintosh is a regular PC that runs Mac OS. Part of the point is actually to decrease the cost which giving the machine beefier hardware.
