Share your Halloween Trick-or-Treating stories!

I remember trick or treating in a snow storm! We got so much candy because people felt sorry for us.

Before we moved when I was a teen, I had a neighbor I was becoming friends with, who bought in bulk, something like 3-4 50 gallon sized bags of candy in bulk. For 2 Halloweens before we moved, she offered to give her excess candy to me, if I wanted it. I remember coming home with 2 very big bags full of assorted candy, the day after both of those Halloweens, because she didn't get the expected number of kids to her door, because she thought word would spread among the kids that some lady was giving out as much candy as you wanted or could carry.

When I was in my early 20s, one of my friend's brothers would go around the neighborhood with a real chainsaw to scare the kids. He was definitely a weird character and I thought for sure someone would get hurt.

That would be a bit creepy as it’s mainly aimed at kids 😂😂😂

I've seen people in their bathrobes back in the 1970s when I was a kid who handed out candy. Women with curlers in their hair, etc...
