It's 14:00 here. 2019 will be at midnight in the UK for us. A good few hours to wait!

New year's eve here is traditionally the fireworks and firecrackers night that starts after dinner time and ends by 2 am. But last night there was bad weather with the intermittent rains that stymied the enthusiasts of fireworks and firecrackers. Not much was seen and heard although it was still good enough for the revelry. After 10 minutes of the new year we had our first new year meal with the traditional food of hot cocoa, pasta, ham and bread. Not to forget we had pork barbecue in the front yard.
