I might be over exaggerating but I'm wondering if anyone has ever made a huge decision that could put your website, forum, etc. at risk of becoming super inactive, or shutting down because of it?

The reason I ask is throughout the past month I've been merging everything of mine into one. I'm starting to focus on Xyphien LLC > individual content. That being said I've merged all of my discords into one central server, social medias such as twitter, youtube, etc.

And now I'm merging all of my websites into what will soon to be xyphien.com/forums (Dead link atm). The only problem with this, is I have a massive forum called rmmv which is less than 500 members away from hitting the 40k mark. I'm going to have all of the original content on there, all the members, etc. However, it won't be focused entirely on rmmv and it'll have a bunch of extra content such as gamehandout, webmaster.college, etc.

It's going to be either something that is quite successful and turns into quite possibly one of the largest general discussion forums around. Or it's going to flop like crazy, and turn into a dead, oversize wasteland.
