JumpToGamer
New Arrival
Hey guys,
The past few weeks I have seen a drop in traffic from Google. Each week we were getting more and more traffic, and I expected it to level out and stay pretty consistant, which it did for a few weeks. But then I started to receive less traffic from Google.
I checked to see where I was ranking for the search terms which were producing the traffic originally, only to find that I was ranking in the same positions still.
I thought it could have been down to less people searching for those terms etc, but then each weekend I have noticed that my traffic from Google significantly jumps to what it was before I got the drop, which would kinda rule out my original theory as you usually get more traffic on weekdays than the weekend. That was the pattern for me until this happened.
It's really frustrating as it seems we are taking a step back now rather than a step forward.
My website is www.jumptogamer.com. It is a gaming news, review and preview site. The terms which we were ranking for weren't one bit of news, so it's not a case of that peice of news being outdated therefore less searches. Our Top 10 Zombie Games article for example brings in a lot of traffic. But other articles which did are also having less hits, so again I don't think it's a case of just that one article, it seems to be everything.
I can't figure it out since we are still ranking the same. Unless it is just people searching less?
Is anyone else experiencing this, or have any idea why this is the case? If so any potentially solutions?
If you need any more information let me know and I'll provide it.
