By spam bots from social networking sites or any other site?

I've had issues with spam bots before on several of my MyBB forums. It seems that MyBB has finally put some preventative measures in their software by default, but there's always plugins and extra precautions you can add to your forum to stop spam bots from registering.

I'm with forumotion and not PC savvy, the standard forumotion security is very limited, well certainly the version im on with phhpbb.

Ah yeah, I'm sure there are some third party plugins for security on phpBB, but I'm not familiar with using Forumotion and whether or not they allow the installation of plugins or not. That's definitely something you'd probably have to post on their forum about.
