Has being a forum owner changed you in any way...for good or bad? If so, how?

Yes, because I'm learning to be a business owner. I love forums, but at the same time, its a stepping stone to the next big business move.

My first forum in 2009 is what caused me to become so interested in website development and slowly pushed me into trying out everything electronical online. Now I own my own business based around all of that sort of stuff. So I think it has completely.

I think being a member on forums in general helped me develop my writing skills during my formative years.

Yes in a way, starting with nothing to knowing nothing to learning overtime and still learn new things 🙂 But just not web mastering point of view but as a community, you meet new people and maybe become good friends.

writing skills, YEAHHHHH with grammarly

Changed me in that I'm learning more skills. Meeting new people. I love learning things so I use this as a learning experience.

I've probably said this elsewhere in the past, but I would say they've tempered me and made me a lot more patient. When I was a kid - I was a hot-headed kid, quick to temper. Even in my mid 20's when I started making boards (Especially with ProBoards - in 2002 for me), I still carried alot of that hot-headedness around with me. As I've said before I don't think in the first maybe three - four years I was the best admin, and made decisions I would later regret.

Having a Proboard that will turn 19 this August, and having one that long Is what has tempered me and mdae me to loook at both sides of arguments, to be more patient and understand (Making for a better admin over the years as a result) and those are the qualities are what the forums have done for me personally I would say.
