Have you banned users?

How often does it happen that you have to ban a user?
Out of 1000 people, how many on average do you have to show the door?
Not a nice job, but it's not something that is easy to delegate.

Hardly ever do I need to ban members on my forum. I've only banned spam bots and a few troublesome members since my forum has been opened.

Only ever banned one, and that was after many warnings and extremely disrespectful and rude comments about other members from them. But overall, I haven't had to really even warn anyone, people are pretty good on my forums. 🙂

only a couple, dupe accounts for the most part. Another for spamming and kept going on about one thing all the time.

I've had to deal out plenty of bans over my time here at FP. I would say a large majority of the bans we deal out are for spammers (maybe at least 1-3 a week). If you are talking about non-cooperative members, I would say it typically averages 1 user every or every other month. It isn't something I like to do, but sometimes, the situation calls for it.

I ban people all the time, but their mostly spammers. 😛 I don't have to ban real members all the often thankfully, but it happens.
