I don't know if this counts, but when I was 22 I fell asleep at the wheel and went off down the road and over a hill before I hit the brakes. I'm lucky I didn't hit anyone.

I would say that counts. A lot of people pass away due to falling asleep driving. I've done it. I especially get sleepy on long roads with the sun in my face the whole time.

When I had a severe panic attack in 2007. That's all I'm saying.

Yes. That's all I'll say about it. Have severe PTSD because of it.

I became very ill many years ago while attending the British Grand Prix. I stopped breathing and was taken by ambulance to the infield medical centre where it was determined that I was in anaphylactic shock and given epinephrine. If it had happened anywhere else on any other day I wouldn't be here.

The worry after the event was that the cause went unknown for quite sometime. I did eventually find the reason was due to ingesting an unholy trinity of grapefruit juice, penicillin and a now banned antihistamine.

I'm always fearful that it might happen again. I've almost passed out several times & had to have my ex wife drive. I already have a mild phoebia of traveling. This bad experience certainly hasn't helped 😔
