Have you ever fired a real gun?

If so, did you enjoy it? Do you like to shoot at targets or animals? Maybe you go shooting often?

If not, would you like to fire a gun? Would you choose to shoot targets or animals?

I haven't ever fired a gun, sadly. But if I did get the opportunity to shoot a gun, I would shoot targets rather than animals. Why shoot animals just because I want to shoot a gun? We would not enjoy being shot if they were the superior animal and it was simply for their enjoyment.

I used to hunt although I don't have the time or patience to anymore. So, yes, I've shot a real gun before.

As for the above post, not everyone hunts for pure sport. Any animal I've killed (or my family has killed) is eaten. We always give excess to our neighbors who appreciate the food a lot more than you'll ever know.

I sure have!

I had the opportunity to fire a civil war black powder musket. Man that thing had a kick like nothing else.

I'm not old enough to have a gun yet, but as soon as I am, I'm taking a class and purchasing a handgun.

I have no interest in guns whatsoever. Except paintball guns. I think shot a real gun before a long time ago but i don't care. I have no interest in them. And I've seen more than i ever wanted too when i went to the south of the united states.

funny thing I have never fired a gun before but I do know how to make one. (don't ask why) 😛

Why?

Ive never fired a gun before. It's never been very high on my "to do" list. If I got the chance I would though.

Yea I've fired a gun before. A rifle. Never shot any human or animal. It was in a Rifle class that some friends and I decided to take and we were shooting pop cans as targets the instructor set up for us. It was pretty fun.

I went on a date out in the sticks once. Her dad was a farmer. Came walking towards me holding a shotgun. After a brief greeting he asked me if I wanted to shoot some clay pigeons. I was hitting one after the other, really enjoying it. Felt good to let the weapon off, watching the targets explode. The farmer assumed I'd handled a gun in the past but the closest I had ever got to using any type of gun was at Quasar as a kid. In the distance a flock of real pigeons were coming towards us and the farmer took aim. That is when things went sour in my mind and the fun went away. Thankfully he missed. I think its ok to use a gun for sporting reasons to shoot at non-living objects but when it comes to shooting animals for fun that is when it disgusts me.

I trained on an M16A2. Looks like this:

Just the south? America has plenty of guns you know. The South has just as many guns as the North and West. I think you're trying to play on a outdated stereotype IMO.

I don't hunt, but I am about the only male in my family that doesn't. I had a .22 rifle when I was about ten, and a shotgun at twelve.

Later, when I became a paramedic, I was a member of a SWAT team for a couple of years. Although my responsibilities were medical, we still had to qualify with a handgun and with a rifle, and to carry a weapon when we were called out with SWAT. In reality, I never did anything with it. We were called out a few times, but were never called in until everything was over.

I go at least once a year hunting. Therefore, shooting with a gun is a part my life. On the mountains I 've experienced a lot that I could write about a novel.

Unlike other nations, my country has very strict laws and donot permit civilians to keep a licensed gun except in some circumstances outlined by the government. I have never fired a gun but I would love to see how firing one feels like.

I fire people. Does that count

I never fired a gun or a pistol. You can't find its easy here because of laws.

Nope. I've held a pistol before but never fired one. My husband bought a rifle last year, but it's stashed away.

Was in the army for a few years with missions in south america and Ex yougoslavia... so you get my answer

I get nervous if there's a gun in presence already, so I doubt I'd be able to shoot one.

I have, and the last one I tried, had a decent kick to it. Was trying a automatic rifle, with a scope on it.
