Have you ever found anything of true value or rare?...

I don't mean like someone's lost purse or wallets!..

Like finding something with a metal detector or something ancient washed up on a beach?..

I'm always interested in stuff like this, never had much luck myself , but a lad who my brother knows found some Roman coins..the jammy git!!..he's been metal detecting for years though and has some of the best fear to help him search.

Never had such luck myself though.

Not with a metal detector but I found some pieces of old vases from the Roman Empire, not sure what period exactly though (can't remember).

I found a persons face (The res of their body was covered in sand. But they weren't laying down they where standing!) Thats about it other than the occasional 20$ on the street.

The last thing I had found, was a small rock with some gold in it. Not worth much in terms that it wasn't a big rock, and it didn't have allot of gold to get out of it.

Hey Josh..just out of curiosity , did you get a valuation on the gold?

Almost, oh and forgot to mention we have found some actual nazi things and old WWI and WWII stuff. Very cool :]

I love metal detecting. I've found 5 gold coins. All US since I'm in California. I've been detecting since I was 14 I think. I've found countless amounts of jewelry and old coins. I hunt old mining areas and construction sites in San francisco.
