Sometimes people don't like the idea of merging forums because they want to keep their establishments. However, in the past I have seen people partner up with other forums by creating a category/board which looks like just another category or board in the forum but it links visitors to the partner site instead. Is this something you would consider for your forum? Or have you considered doing something like this before? In what instances do you think this would advantageous to one's site?

I did it with a friend who passed away and it worked out reallly good for the both of us for a longer while since we both had the same goal and didn't want control over the whole site. But now other than exchanges I don't do anything else 🙂
I never really thought of it really. I did sell my previous forum and it ended up being merged into another forum but personally I would not partner up with another forum as it could possibly end up taking away our forum activity and making the other one better
