How do you know its a waste of time if you have never tried it? Are you guessing or has someone you know tried it?

No it just is 99% of the time plus it's kind of sad if you have to resort to a dating site.

This. It really isn't hard to go out with someone if you do something like... TALK TO THEM. Dating Sites are 100% scams, they take your money giving you garuntees of a perfect match, and what are you left with? An empty profile on the site with nothing. I haven't tried it but that is the basic work up of those sites.

If you haven't tried it, how can you say that they are "100% scams", "take your money" and "an empty profile"? Blatant bashing without evidence or experience doesn't make a sound perspective of dating sites. If they supposedly don't work, then how come people do succeed? And you do have to realize at some people they will eventually "TALK TO THEM" so in essence, it's just a medium for communication, like MSN.

I "met" and got chatting to a girl from Germany, via a free site, after about six months we decided to meet up, I flew over there for 5 days or so, we had a great time and got on really well, distance killed the "relationship", but we are still friends and still chat now and again via MSN.

I saw a video on Youtube that dating sites are the best for meeting people for erotic encounters and kinky activities since you do not have to guest as much. People will put in their profiles they are into kinky activities and erotic encounters.

Anyways, I never used a darting site because I don't really have the time or much interest in darting and relationships in real-life and online.
