I admit that I am overweight but not obese. A friend suggested that I turn vegan so I can reduce my weight faster. She said that eating vegetables and fruits only is the best for our health. But come to think of it, I would miss all those nice foods like steak, lamb chop, roasted pig belly and fried chicken. I didn't have the guts to be a vegetarian and deprive myself of the good food in the buffet table. Maybe I will just find another way to lose weight.
I had at one point, but decided against it. Honestly though, if one follows the food guidelines on what to eat and how often (but the amount based on eating habits), it would be more healthy for people than what some people do, like myself (AKA eat meat 4 days a week on average, even though I have veggies and other stuff).
