How do you feel about using Artificial Intelligence to create content on your forum?

You could use AI programs like ChatGPT and others for various types of content creation.

1. You could use it to generate ideas asking the AI to "give you X amount of topic ideas for x-niche forum posts."
2. You could use it to create the topic titles and post content or one or the other. Of course, this can be tricky if the AI misinforms with the created content.
3. You could even use AI simply to research your already-created content ideas.

I'm sure there are many other ways you could use AI to create content on your forum.

Is this something you practice? If yes, how are you using it?

If not - is there any particular reason why you don't? I'm especially interested in why someone wouldn't use it who is against using AI, and why so?

not that smart to talk to each other yet know it's posting content

I have looked into AI to create content on my forum and blogs and as much as I would not ever use it to fully write out a topic or a blog post, I would use it to drum up ideas for my next topic or my next blog post.

As a writer myself and I am sure all other writers will agree, hitting writer's block is the worst and you never know how long it may last which can lead to you not having anything to post for a little while. Using AI to be able to give you topics to write on is ideal as it is still your own work.

I myself wouldn't use AI to write though, I would much rather do that myself.

I haven't used AI to create anything for my forum. I can see AI being a decent tool to make content for a brand new roleplaying forum. It can be used to make some creepy and interesting art you can use on your website too. I prefer to have organic content, posts written by humans rather than a bot. That's just me though, perhaps if I run into writers block I could use AI to get inspiration but I still prefer to do this on my own.

I don't have a problem with AI created content as long as it's acknowledged as such. However when it comes to social media I think AI could be put to far better use e.g.
  • Translation
  • Grammar and phrasing
  • Predictive search
  • Similar threads (that really are similar)
  • Spam prevention
  • Moderation
And probably a hundred and one other things. AI's potential goes way beyond content creation.

AI is still pretty limited from what I've seen on other forums who use those services.
