When I was younger, it is the common notion that a bank account is reserved for the wealthy only because during that time, there was the minimum deposit which is not affordable to just anyone. But now, it seems that banks don't require a large amount for the initial deposit and the maintaining balance as well to give everybody a chance to have a bank account. For me, the primary benefit of having a bank account is the mind conditioning that I need to save, that saving money is important and that spending should be limited to what I can afford. That's why my ATM accbount is never bereft of balance.

I have a bank account for my wages to be paid into and for my bills to come out of

Well i have no problem saving money, i mainly use my bank account for buying stuff online

I have a bank account that requires a minimum deposit amount. Very often I fail to maintain the balance and have to pay charges at the end of the month.

2016 was my first account at the age 22 🙂 Always had my own home bank in Australia. I was safe from VAT then 😛

When i was young, the minimum deposit for a bank account was pretty low, I can't remember the exact amount but I think it is something like £1. Back in the day when interest rates are high, it was good to store your money in a bank but now interest rates are way too low. Good if you want to borrow money from the bank though.

I have some bank accounts and visa cards, almost them are debit/prepaid for my online purchasing 🙂

I only have one for my paycheck to be deposited into. My dad put $100 in there when we went and set it up in October of last year.

I wish I had more money in the bank
