Having a new member - Excited

Do you ever get excited when you have a new member only to find out it's a pointless spam bot?

No, since I can't keep track of the new registrations.

No, but when a new member says hi in the welcome board I say hi back, it's always nice to see. There were a lot of other roleplaying boards out there but they picked my forum! They got good taste 🙂

When we get spam bots, we ban them. 😛

I always feel excited to see a new member joining and posting in my forum.

I get exited when we get a new member who makes 200 or so quality posts in the first day 🙂

I do on my big forum. The majority of the new members are real though but occasionally there is a spammer. The forum i am talking about is the largest online of its particular niche, many have tried to compete but quickly failed and shut down... I have became an expert of the niche haha

So yeah it makes me excited 😛 Maybe not school girl excited but happy 😀

I did I had 15 registration in2 4 hours when I woke up I was excited then I found out it was spambots signing up 🙁

I used to jump for joy whenever someone would register on my forum, and will probably return to that state as I am working with forums once again, but I can honestly say that spambots have never been too majorly of a problem for me and that has never happened.

That's kind of my situation as well. While general discussions isn't as oversaturated genre like it was at this time a few years ago, I'm still amazed and pleased when members decide to join up and participate in some of our discussions. That always helps a lot.
