Ok .. something's up with my pc. When i goto watch a video on youtube, it does this wired thing where the video goes from full, then jumps into a smaller version in the upper left hand corner of the video box.

And, plus, when i try to capture videos onto WMMaker using my Dazzle100 DVC device, the screen gets all these rainbow colored static on the screen.

Is there something up with my PC's video card or soemthing?

I have no idea where to even start to fix this problem. And it's really bugging the crap oughtta me.

It's a used computer, but well maintained, and not full of programs and downloads. Just might be a little out of date, but still, i should be able to watch youtube videos without any problem.

Anyone know any solution to this problem. Like maybe upgrading the video card to it or something? I really have no clue.

Well, never mind, took my problem to best buy's geek squad, and the stupid casing for the PC won't come off. Like it's been welded shut.

My life sux 🙁

Whats your system spec? Check your devic e manager for a indepth list (Start > [right click]My Computer > Manage > Device Manager). Have you done a virus scan lately? Cleared temporary files? Tried another browser?

Video card does not seem to be the problem really (since you can still view everything that is going on).

For the YouTube problem, do you have the latest Flash updates?

Thanx for responding 🙂

Traygon, I folowed the steps you provided, but didn't know where to go from there. I'm really computer illiterate. I would actually like to remove EVERY program on here. All I really use is Opera, WMMaker, and the DVC100 video device. About the virus scan. Are those free? Or do i need to go buy one?

JamesD31, i believe i have the latest flash player, haven't gottena message on youtube about updating.

Forget what I told you 🙂 Your PC should be able to handle flash videos. Try Internet Explorer, if that plays the flash videos you will need to try reinstall Opera or your flash player, which you can download from Adobe. To remove all the programs, visit Add/Remove programs in your control panel 🙂 (If on Vista then simply go to your control panel too but select the link 'Uninstall a program' or soemthing similar to that).

So:
1. Try Internet Explorer.
2. If that fails reinstall flash player, if it works then reinstall Opera and/or your flash player.

Man, I just keep getting screwed! ~lol~

I got on IE ... went to youtube, and told me to download the lasest AdobeFP. But, I got a message about "add-ons" are disabled. And followed the instructions to fix this, but when i go under Tools, and try to click Manage Add-ons ... it won't let me.

So i have no way of checking videos on youtube through IE.

-bigeyes-

Try Firefox? I's a lot easier to manage than IE -🙂- Don't know why IE would come up with that error, shouldn't be disabled.

I found out, there was a 2nd IE on here, with the disabled features, and i removed it. and, yes, youtube worked on IE ... and, i uninstalled Opera, then reinstalled, and the same thing. Got the new flash player, and nothing.

I'll try Firefox, soon.

Youtube works fine for me with Opera. It's probably a cookie conflict, happen to me all the dang time with other sites, even FP. Just go to

Tools -> Advanced -> Cookies... -> Search for 'Youtube' -> Select and delete -> Restart browser

If not then I have no idea what it could be ~neutral~

Thanx, Ghost. I tried that, but didn't work. i'm guessing it's this crappy Compaq i got. it brwoses fast, and fine, but for some reason ... videos just don't work. wether i'm watching youtube, or trying to upload videos to my pc.

I had an older, and weaker Dell model, that had no troubles. I just can't figure out what the problem is, except by a completely brand new computer ... which won't be for a long while 🙁

Ok, i didn't even try other videos.... and seems that other videos work fine ... this is the one that glitches and jumps, but it looked fine when i first checked it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcmFVZSVMNA

can someone tell me, if it plays fine for them?

I also run an older Compaq, and It's a major pain in the butt because of the AMD it has -.-

That video works fine for me, the actual video jumps a lot but the sound streams decent.

by jump, you mean shrinks and goes back to normal constantly? that's what my rpoblem ahs been, but it worked fine when using my old PC.

what's really bugging me, is trying to add my vido input device. I used this thing on a cheap $200 Acer notebook. But, when i upload the program to thkis Compaq, the video records all glitchy, and the sound component for the input device won't register.

I use a Dazzle DVC100 ... and it's never given me problems on the lasy 4 computers i've used it for.

What 'bout trying a different website that also uses FLV. Could be a problem with Flash or your graphics card.
