Hawk Host not instent set-up

Hawk Host is a great host, and even though you may have to wait a while, it'll be worth it in the long run, because you're getting great service for a fair price. When I used them, I never experienced downtime, and their customer support is fantastic. They're not a huge company with hundreds of employees, they're small and personal, which gives you personal service and support from your host, which is rare nowadays. If you don't want to wait a few hours for great, personalized service, then don't. Go to a massive host, but if you experience downtime, lack of personalized support, and poor service, don't complain. Be patient.

I was with HostGator they took $20 from my account (credit card) for no reason, bank cleared it back to me. That is when I found the heavens of HawkHost. And only reason why people like and or use hostGator more is because HostGator has the bank account to advertise like crazy.

Did you ever talk to HostGator about why that money was taken from your account?

And that is sort of stereotyping. I have used HawkHost, their support was crap and I found servers going down was more common than on HostGator on my account.

Have not tried host gator yet but hawk host is really good and I probably will never change...it is the best you can find 😀

I'v been with HawkHost for almost 1 year no down-time and yes I did contact them, I even did the whole cancel stuff e-mail etc.. they failed on their end to let me know something went wrong charged me anyways.

I'm thinking of going with Hawk Host to take advantage of their October special. I was thinking of going with the Standard shared hosting plan. I'm not sure about the disk space and bandwidth limitations though. I just don't know how to gauge such things. For example, a forum this size, would they run out of disk space and bandwidth using 6000 MB disk space and 60 GB bandwidth? Need some guidance on which package to buy. Thanks.

Well as far as im aware FP has been running on the basic hosting plan (the cheapest plan, 3GB disk space and 30GB bandwidth) and runs fine :great:

Thanks, Nathan. This forum pulls a little slow for me though, but I'm not sure if this is on my end or not with my wireless connection, etc.

We did upgrade a few months ago to the standard package as we started to need more then 30gb of bandwidth. The basic plan though should be enough for new forums or small-medium sized forums.
