I'm sure all of us here have used the HDD or the hard disk drive for the storage. But there is a new type of storage called SSD - solid state drive - which is similar to the structure of the SD card (of the camera and the phone). Unlike the hard disk which has a motor to move the disk for the read/write head, the SSD has no moving parts and therefore more convenient since overheating will not be an issue. But I still have to try the SSD before I can talk about its other advantages.
