I have a bit of a headache today, slightly annoying, what's usually good for dealing with those?

Take some pills to ease the pain, wounder how you came about of getting it, For example lack of water or even looking at an PC screen all day. Then drink allot of water as much as you can and just rest your eyes for some time.

headache is easy passed and gone, I don't get them often and when I do sometimes it's bad or just there but not as heavy.

Eye fatigue, dehydration, poor eating habits, lack of sleep, and stress are definitely contributing factors when it comes to headaches.

Not always. Other factors do create headaches. Eating the wrong food could get you headaches. Being confused about something to the level of no return also creates headaches. Having zinging, ringing, screeching noises could give you headaches.

The way to stop it is walking away from a situation, dropping the subject, so your mind is calming down. Drinking water, your favorite drinks help, too. If that drink happens to be Coca Cola, drink it. If that drink happens to be alcohol, drink it. I had a light headache last night, and I slept over that headache. It was gone the minute I woke up. 🙂

For me? If I have alcohol and I want to stop the headache immediately, I grab one and drink it. Because alcohol goes into your bloodstream (and stimulates your brain at the same time, calming your nerves, and mind.)

For me, water and pills don't do anything. I mean, they help, but for me, they're weak. I need something strong to calm me down.

why is this in the 'tech' forum. lol

and yeah I hate headaches, they hit me really hard

It depends what's causing it. Most types of headaches are called "tension headaches," and they are typically the result of the following:

  • Brain dehydration (caused by lack of fluids, so your body takes water from the brain)
  • Brain overhydration (water intoxication)
  • Hunger
  • Blue and/or white light
  • Caffeine withdrawal
  • Lack of sleep
  • Excessive noise
  • Stress and/or anxiety
  • Excessive alcohol consumption

Go through the list and strike any off that you know are not the culprit. Most of the time, simply doing the opposite of what caused it will make it go away (for example, caffeine withdrawal is a big one for me, so I grab a drink or two). However, sometimes, they can be stubborn and require medication.

I don't advocate using ibuprofen or acetaminophen/paracetamol for every single headache you get, but if the pain is unbearable (e.g. you can't keep your eyes open), take the recommended dosage and have a little nap.

I usually purchase the 2 pack of extra strength Tylenol from the store. One bottle stays at home and the other stays in my purse. That way, I can take Tylenol whenever I get a headache regardless if I'm at home or I'm out-and-about.

I think I have one starting now since I been streaming for 8 hours with nothing to eat or drink

I usually go with pills and a little bit of herbal remedies. It eventually works.

Depends on where my headache is located. I have found caffeine works in some cases.

Well, caffeine in general is a good way to deliver pain killers, anti-inflammatories like Ibuprofen and migraine medication much more quickly, than it would otherwise take.

I stick to low pain killers and they do the job. End of the day drink allot and sleep it out.

I tend to get a lot of headaches. I usually take some aspirin in the morning (either for headaches or cause of back pain). But if its real bad I'll take more later, or a sinus pill. Sometimes I get them due to sinus pressure and often that will help kill it.

I use an all natural product called Pain Slayer from Motorbikers Cosmetic Company. I use that for all kinds of aches and pains. (I have chronic pain) They have just released a product specially for Headaches called Head Banger.

I used to get terrible migraines but don't anymore (stopped dairy products) I used to have to take co-codamol then go to bed in a pitch black/silent room for days. I wish I knew about MCC then.
