First things first let's only discuss health issues we are comfortable to share. Do you have any?

I've got diabetes that I've had since 2012. It's type 2 so only diet and exercise mostly and I can reverse it if I work on things which I am trying to do.

I had thyroid cancer 5 years ago and my thyroid was removed in two separate surgeries. This year I've been suffering with overmedication and the symptoms are far worse than being undermedicated. I've had my medicine adjusted twice and I don't think it's low enough yet.

I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and had to pay for a machine. I was frustrated about it and didn't like the idea that I'd have to be on one for the rest of my life. I've come to accept it.

My doctors want to test me for sleep apnea, but I'm not willing to use that machine, so I won't let her. 🙂 The only thing I have is high blood pressure. Took forever to find medication that would regulate it, and I got SO tired of the nurses telling me to go to the ER. Why? So I can waste my day (and money) for them to try to temporarily bring it down? No, I don't think so. I figured out many years ago that my body just likes to run high. It's been OK though for the last 6 months.

i have ongoing stomach issues, as well as hip issues (Which, i need to have hip replacement next year..... fun time) as well as very deiciate teeth due to a growth in my stomach....

fun times for me...

With the diabetes I get really sore burning feet which is horrible and also foot ulcers. Clever me for not bothering with the meds for so many years. Karma got back to me..🙁

Never heard of the sore burning feet with diabetes before.
look, i learnt something today!

is this something you have to live with now, or can there be something done?
I hope not. But maybe. 🙁 Better than having my foot chopped off like some people with diabetes though.

Just seeing your comments and just interested and at times sad and not nice 🙁 We all have to live with our problems. I have many goddamn problems with me however I'm not going to enclose all my problems, First diagnosed when I was just four years old (Enclosed) and with a very young mother she was just a classic teenager and so I then had a very bad stomach problems from it. Let's say enlarged bowels.

2016 when I received a 100% confirmation that I have cholesteatoma, Had a long eight hours surgery for it and it's for life

Yeah mental health affects everyone around the world the sad thing is some people still think they have to close up on their problems and don't speak up 🙁

Well. I had a cyst on my ovaries in 2011 - that caused for a lot of panic. Was worried about cancer. The cyst was as round as a cantaloupe. They told me if I had been too active, it could have caused me to possibly die due to internal bleeding and I would have never known. I'm worried after having the removal of one of my ovarian/falopian tubes I may not be able to have children. It's a 50% chance. Hearing this news as an 18 year old was rough.

In 2020 I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, but it is handled well with the medicine, I currently am on pills I take twice a day. My goal is to lose some weight which naturally would help. Been trying to drink more water and find a more healthy me, but as a teacher that can be difficult unfortunately. Hopefully over the summer I have time to just put towards it!

Mental Health wise I've self diagnosed as depression and anxiety. It had gotten a lot better, but it has hit hard over the last year of changes in my life.

Thankfully, the stigma is not as harsh as it once was due to raised awareness of such issues. My grandmother always said if you so much as mentioned mental health issues you have "back in the day" you were essentially considered crazy. Some people may still believe this for specific mental health issues, but as I said awareness has grown far and wide over the years about mental health and how to combat the issues it may give you.

In New Zealand it took forever for men to be able to open up about mental health. We used to have a big issue where men felt they couldn't open up or they weren't as 'manly'. It actually took an ex sports player to help people open up.
