Hello everyone! My name is Simon and I live in beautiful Sweden. I've been working with websites and forums for several years now. In the past I did it more professionally, now it's more of a fun hobby for me.

I decided to join this community because I am working on a new online community and I could use some good advice and helpful feedback so that I can avoid the worst mistakes. Many things have also changed since the last time I started a new forum from scratch. For example, social media sites like Facebook and Twitter did not dominate the web as much they do nowadays. In fact, it feels like forums are slowly dying (do people these days even know what a forum is?), but I guess that is a discussion for another topic.

See you in the forums! 😉

Hello and welcome to FP, Simon 😀
I have to agree when it comes to forums dying out a little nowadays with the rise of social media, though as you've mentioned, that's discussion for another topic :xd:

Hello simon welcome to FP! hope you enjoy my time here! I'm new also!

Thanks for the welcome guys! This seems to be an active forum, I like it. 🙂

Hi and welcome to Forum Promotion! Hope you have a nice time here and let us know if you have any questions. 🙂

A warm welcome from me Simon! I hope you enjoy your stay and if you have any question that is related to forums (MyBB) I'm your man. Just shoot me a PM at any given time and I will check it as soon has it pops up on my notification.

Any who forum are not dying they are just not as big has they was back in the day.

Their are many forums that are massive and have a lot of active users.

Belated welcome to you, Simon! I hope you like your stay with us here and find the content we have here useful. What kind of community are you working on?

Thanks! I'm actually working on a different type of community without the traditional forums and with a heavy emphasis on status updates. Instead of forums, users can create and join groups and post on their profile page - as well as on other user's profile pages. Check it out! 😛

I checked the link in your signature and it certainly looks interesting! I like how I can see all the updates on the first click. Colors are not too bright for my eyes as well. Best of luck! 🙂
