I'm Jeff, a 43 year old, 15-year New York City bus driver from Long Island, New York. I started driving a bus in Harlem, NY, then in Brooklyn and now finally in Southeastern Queens. Together with my wife Susan, we travel the highways, byways and back roads of the United States as much as possible. Toward that end, we decided to host a forum for those of a like mind who also enjoy cross-country vehicular travel -- which is what brings me to your home. Our forum is slow 🙂

This is a very interesting forum -- a forum to promote forums! I like it! I'm looking forward to learning a few tips and tricks from you professionals. Though, I must admit, with respect to forum promotion itself, I tend to allow Google, Yahoo and MSN/Bing handle those duties, as I'm an adamant anti-spam netizen. I hardly promote my forum because I absolutely abhor spam, and there's a fine line between "on topic invitations/solicitations" and "blatant spamming". I don't tolerate it at my forum, I wouldn't expect anyone else to tolerate it at theirs.
So this concept of a forum to promote a forum is very new to me and will take some getting used to!
Thanks for the hearty greeting! I'm still poking around in here, and checking my log files to see what effect (if any) being a member here has done for my forum's visibility. I figured on giving that some time, then analyzing that data to see the effects and benefits of forum promotion.
Meanwhile, I really don't have all that much to say 🙂
In the past, I had forums that spoke for themselves and were highly touted and spread via word of mouth, so I never considered advertising before now. This forum, however, has a handful of fantastic members but they are losing interest because we don't seem to be attracting new members! So I guess that's two issues -- that can be easily resolved simply by attracting -- and keeping -- new members!
