UKBusinessLabs
New Arrival
Hi all
I'm Mark and I'm the Admin/Tech Bod for UK Business Labs. My wife (currently 'relaxing' on maternity leave! ) owns the forum but I get the dubious honor of promoting it and tinkering around under the hood. Actually, I'm much better placed for these tasks as I'm a veteran of what must now be over 500 forums, globally; ranging from giants such as DigitalPoint - down to small niche interest/hobby forums. I owned and ran a small (ish) hobby forum several years back but had to sell up to concentrate on UKBL, not to mention my main business of graphic design.
We don't consider other similar forums/networks as rivals but 'complimentary' to ourselves. We accept that every community is unique and that they cater for different people (who want different things; even in similar niches).
We've been running for three years now. Our 'apparently' low member count (4500+) is due to our proactive anti-spam policies. We've successfully prevented by manual means over 3,000 spammers registering and, via the SFS databse, stopped a further 30,000 bot registrations from ruining it all for our members. We're proud that the forum has grown organically; without the need for any paid forum posting - all posts/threads are genuine which helps to nurture a quality network.
Our members are mainly UK-based small business owners who range from the fresh-out-the-packet start-up to the seasoned, serial entrepreneur but all are welcome.
Feel free to ask any questions if I've missed anything. Looking forward to contributing where I can :great:
Mark 🙂
