Not really. Sleeping is different from a coma.

Both involve a sub-conscious state. 😉

Yes, but only one of them we can actually choose to do. Sleep is part of life, we have to have it. A coma is from severe injury, or induced if someone's body is too badly injured. We do not need a coma, we cannot willingly go into a coma unless it's an extraordinary medical circumstance.
