I would need to do an internship, but I won't be using that degree for anything other than to get into grad school. I'm going for a master's in student affairs/higher education so I can work at colleges and universities in support offices.

You don't need a major in journalism, you just need a bachelor's degree to get into (any) grad school. 😛
