Hello/Goodbye Thread #4

You guys don't have a Starbucks where you live? :O I thought Starbucks was everywhere. My old town had 2 of them and we only had around 10k people living there.

I live in a really small town with about 12,000 people. So, I'm not sure when we'll get one yet. We have a few donut shops and restaurants that serve coffee. There was a family owned coffee shop that was popular for a while, but the owners packed up and left and the place went out of business. Maybe some day we'll get a Starbucks.

Oh that stinks. :/ Hopefully ya'll get one soon. I'm sure they can afford to open one up. :lol:

Me too. My wife would love that. Rumor has it we're getting an Olive Garden. That's going to be AWESOME! 😀

Oh my gosh! I have never been to an Olive Garden actually, I heard their breadsticks and salad dressing are to die for though. 😱

Hmm. Maybe I can convince my wife to go up to this city that's 2 hours away just to eat there again this weekend, lol. I really wish we had a Chillies too. Lot of good restaurants my town is missing out on. 😀

Yeah. I used to work at Wal-Mart for 3 and half years before I quit. We have a super center.

Its pretty much the source for most people to work at in the community. There are few factories, but most of the companies shut them down leaving many people unemployed.

Do you like their motto? Save Money, Live Better? :rofl:

I don't know about living better but sure! We have Grocery Outlet that's pretty much half the prices of Walmart's produce, and it's not all expired. 😛 It's interesting finding produce expired on the shelves and you're just like, "Um...Ew.."

Yeah. I worked in Produce for a year before quitting. Before that I was a janitor there. A lot of the fruit goes bad within a day. I got to dig through some of it and you find rotten oranges, apples, and grape fruit. I never get their strawberries anymore because they go bad within a day. In fact, my wife and I hardly buy anything over there as fast as it expires. :shrug:
