Hello/Goodbye Thread #4

Good afternoon all, enjoying a hazel nut cream coffee and a blueberry iced tea. Lunching on leftovers with orange juice. Doing aroma therapy and music therapy till dinner and hitting the deck tonight.

Well, I am off to the races! Time to see what I can do to pot around on various forums for the night, before I go to bed. 😀

My mother drives 40 minutes to work, and if it is snowing along the highway, it definitely takes longer.
If there’s a chance I won’t be able to make it to work due to weather, my work makes us stay the night in a empty hospital room so we can work the next day.

Since when can a job force you to stay there? I wouldn't think that would be legal to hold you hostage at work.

Good morning all, had about 12 hours sleep last night, enjoying my usual breakfast and my morning coffee.

It’s either that or risk getting fired for not showing up ‍♀️ I need my job.

It’s either that or risk getting fired for not showing up ‍♀ I need my job.

I hate that they do that to you but I also love that they guarantee the public that there will be people available to help when someone needs it. It's kind of like that idea of no one should have to work on holidays...except we do need people to work for health and safety!

Take my broken wrist for example: if there were no one at the emergency room at the time of the day I broke it, I would be suffering all night with a broken wrist that would require quite the bit of attention, if not properly wrapped up to prevent the bone from moving more. Plus my doctor's office closed nearly 2 hours before that happened, so I couldn't head over there if I wanted to.

Did you decide to return to work? Is the pain still bad?
