It would be interesting to see just how many replies they all have, but I think they get shut down at a certain point just to keep them from being a load on the server.

Hmmm, I don't believe the number of replies on any given thread has anything to do with performance issues in XF.
If that happens its probably because of some 3rd party add-on going haywire.

It used to, it was quite a big issue in the older days for a lot of big forums, as I recall, threads that got too large were a huge issue for a database, I suppose things now are quite a bit different than back then.

Hey y'all, what's going on? I don't know if I'm gonna continue watching wrestling anymore. The reason I say this, because it's been 3 years since leaving Twitter in the hands of the wrestling diehards just because I stood up to them. Whenever I tune in to a wrestling show like AEW Dynamite on any given night of the week, all I see are the words "tribalism" and "toxicity" written all over each fan's face. To me, I'm a lot more deserving than them and I don't need to be a part of this toxic environment.
If I let what others say get to me in things I enjoy watching I wouldn't watch a lot. There's always going to be people who will talk crap or troll certain things but if you still like it keep watching.

They do that since day one. And they control people's viewing habits in telling them to "watch this" and telling them no to "watch that". I mean, that's tribalism.
