Tomorrow I’m canvassing in another location. On Saturday, I’ll be travelling about 50 minutes north to continue canvassing as well.

Just within my own ward alone, we have over 3,000 houses to cover. If you look at the wider picture across all areas, that rises to around 30,000 homes, and that’s before even factoring in helping with canvassing outside my area and the additional travel involved.

Then once I’m back home, the work still isn’t finished. I have to organise all the collected data, upload it online, and edit and update the records we’ve gathered. Since I’m the tech person in our group, that job usually falls to me! Updating everything can take hours and hours, and it has to be done carefully and accurately because it involves people’s names and addresses.
