In New Zealand the South Island is much colder when it rains whereas in the North Island you can still be in shorts and a T-shirt lol

South Island. When we were on holiday we were in the North Island and it was so warm!

The South Island is closest to Antarctica and we have massive planes fly from the South Island all the way there.
