Hello/Goodbye Thread #4

Good evening everyone. The sink in my kitchen has a clog and it keeps getting backed up any time my father in law uses the sink upstairs. So we have a plumber coming to look at the pipes tomorrow afternoon. Him and I spent most of the day trying our best to unclog the sink but we failed. All this happened on Father's Day too. :S

Update on the plumbing situation, turns out whoever installed the pipes in the kitchen downstairs didn't do a good job so the pipe in the wall broke off when the plumber was accessing the situation. So he's going to have to drill out the wall to get to the pipes, install an access area so we can unclog the pipes if this happens again in the future, and the water saturated the floor in front of our basement door so that's going to need to be replaced too at some point. Also our water heater is leaking, so he's going to have to replace that as well. Plumbing issues aren't fun lmao. But in time this will pass and once everything is fixed then hopefully we don't have to deal with this major issue again.

Oh no! It always seems like one issue turns into a thousand others. We had issues with our hot water heater leaking too so now we’ve got to rip out all of the closet floors and replace. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Thank you! Life seems to go like that sometimes, man that's super annoying that you had to do that! Thankfully the flooring in the utility closet in my house is concrete and the water heater didn't leak too bad but we have a new water heater now. The floor in front of the basement door is slowly drying but I suspect we'll still need to rip up the carpet and see if the padding under the carpet is saturated. I did get a notification from Syncrony Bank saying that I have late fees on my Care Credit account despite paying the bill on time earlier this month so I suppose that was the third bad thing in a row. I just paid them $86 for late fees but I should have just disputed the late fees... I believe things are going to go up from here now though!
