He will also transfer the database if you ask him on the forums. He will do it for forum cash (at script installs forum)

ProBoards will probably ask you to take it down eventually. All ProBoards conversions nowadays are under the table type stuff. I have an old ProBoards crawler converter file somewhere. I've never used it though. I hope to see the ProBoards conversion tutorial soon! 🙂

Yea, ProBoards had the creator remove the files because of legal stuff. I might have mine somewhere but I never did any, yet.

I've been thinking about trying it out on one of my test forums. I know an administrator who converted their ProBoards forum to SMF in like August. Seeing as ProBoards has changed very little since then, the converter probably still works. I only happen to have the converter file on my computer because a friend of mine downloaded it before it was removed.

ProBoards has nothing to do with phpBB. Are you thinking of ProphpBB?

It's against their Terms of Service which is a legally binding contract, I think. So yeah, it technically is illegal. 😛

Although, thinking about it, I think I know a loophole to the way the TOS works.

When I double click on members_topics_posts_phpBB3 it comes up for half a second then disappears.

Check whether python is installed properly in your PC.
Because even if you do any mistakes in other steps, it won't disappear.

*Don't give up hope. Its hard for first time, but you will really like it, as time goes on.

It didn't turn out very well for me. I attempted to convert http://worldchillout.forumotion.com/ to http://conversion.themaori.pcriot.com/
I can't log in on the conversion forum for some reason, so I couldn't do the last step of the tutorial, which was recounting the board statistics. Also, if you click on a post on the conversion forum, the posts aren't showing up for some reason. Is this because I didn't recount the board statistics? Or did I make a mistake during the conversion?
