help me find microsoft excel problem - 50FP

Hello,
In the image below you will see digit/numbers i entered, and you will see that there is an "." and "+" sign there for no reason. All i entered was numbers and it showed these stuff, and its by default. I want to remove this reason and only show what i enter instead of these stuff. Im using microsoft excel 2010, if anyone can help me gets rewarded 50FP.

- Right click cell(s)
- Left click "Format cells"
- under...Number tab
- Change the "General" --> Number
- Change "Decimal places" from "2" --> "0"

Or choose custom and create your own style and you can format individual cells, collumns, rows, or the entire sheet! 🙂

Thanks that worked, but one problem is once i close excel and reopen it the same problem exists i have to keep going to format and remove the decimal places. Is there anyway i can make an default setting so it will be changed forever?

Quick Way

-Right click cell(s)
-Left click "Format cells"
-under...Number tab

Moderate Way

-Left Click File
-Left Click Options
-LeftClick Advanced
-"2nd check box" is what you want

Use the up and down arrows accordingly.

Advanced Way

-Create a template sheet and call it "Book.xlt"
-Set the style "Normal" to have the formatting what you want it
-Save in your "XLSTART" folder

You can simply create and save numurous templates with varying formatting to reflect the type of sheet you would like to work with.
