Okay, so I have a 2010 RS Camaro and I am wanting some LOUD subwoofers and a great amp. Thing is..I know nothing about speakers and amps and how to hook them up. I was thinking of maybe getting a pro to hook them up since my car is an expensive one. I want to be able to hear the bump from inside my house. My budget is around $450-500 to spend on these. If you can tell me some brands and what to use together, I will search craigslist for the same thing to find some good used ones.

🙂 Hooking up speakers isnt that hard. Just put the wires where they go..
Maybe you could post an ad on craigslist offering to pay someone a small amount of money to come hook up your speakers instead of paying a "professional" to rip you off. Unless you buy from a place that offers free installation.

JBL is an amazing brand from my experience in general, and I'm sure their line of speakers for cars cannot be diminishing the respect they have in the rest of the industry. Here's a link to the speakers they make for cars.
As for a subwoofer, I don't think there's not too much quality you can look for there. They all provide the same low-end frequency range. I think just buying the most powerful one you can afford would do you well, that still has a popular name on the speaker. Obviously if you buy a cheap off-brand one, it would probably end up breaking soon.
