Ok my site needs help. I seemed to have boosted in traffic, and now I have flatlined. What can I do to boost more, I don't have a lot of money, I am already paying 30 dollars a month for my main site now, I don't want to have to pay more for my forum. What can i do to get more posting users legally....Is there anyone out there that will work on my site for free? Maybe clean it up, give it more to do, make it more welcoming? I need users, I have to get this site rolling.

Thanks

You have the same problem as what everyone has when they start. You just have to do what everyone else does...advertise.

You will have to continuesly keep advertising untill it is so large it advertises itself. Just join forums, post your link (without spamming) and put it in your sigs and stuff. Also do what you have done here and advertise on promotion forums 🙂

Posting members are hard to come from...it's a challenge turning guests into members, but a bigger challenge turning members into actual contributors. You have to give them something that will encourage them to post. Have fun topics, competitons maybe...but dont be disheartened. It's a long process, the flood will come 😀

Hope i have helped 🙂

Yeah, I can't put my link in my sig....most forums have policies for that.....Noone wants to share their biz haha

advertising your forum works wonders, but getting people to actually join the forum is the hard part...

I know it, I have 40 active users, what happen to the 30 missing lol....how do I get them to post? should I email them?

I have a very tough policy on inactive users; if you don't post within 2 weeks of signing up your account is deleted; and you have to post at least 5 times every 3 months.

Although I only have around 400 members, which may seem low - but they are all active members.

If people have signed up and not posted the likely reason is they have no need or don't want to post on your forum. You can't force them to hence why it's best to get rid of them and try to get new members who will post, instead of current members who won't
