According to 2 people on Forum Promotion, my site is giving them a virus warning. I know that one of the them is using Google Chrome and I'm not sure about the other one. I think the warning was because of a banner on my site which I removed. I don't have Chrome so can someone please check to see if my site is still displaying a virus warning. Firefox, MSN, and Internet Explorer do not display a virus warning. According to this diagnostic, my site is safe to visit. If my site is still displaying a virus warning how do I clear it up?

It's good with me, although I did get that virus warning the other day when I was working on your package. It's been cleared I think though

If your site contains anything from any site that has been listed as containing Malware then a message will be shown.

For example if we (forumpromotion.net) had an image posted in this topic from a domain containing (or claimed to be containing) Malware from a domain like dnjdfnjdsfndjfnzdnfbczbd.com for example then when people view this topic using Chrome they will see a warning.

I didn't get a warning either but the error may be on only certain pages (such as only a topic when a certain user with posts in it). We have had issues with one users signature or avatar triggering this warning.

We had this problem on my forum a while ago with someone's signature. People with certain browsers got taken to random pages if they click on any topic the user in question posted in, including myself. We warned the user to remove his signature, and when he didn't comply, we had to do it for him. So it could be someone with a trouble-some signature as well. But you never know, either. This is why we have a restriction in place when it comes to setting signatures, then that way it keeps people from clicking on harmful links or from something happening that could possibly wreck their computers.

As for "including myself" I mean that I too got the problem whenever I went to read a topic that the person with the problem signature posted in. I didn't say that I also had a problematic signature... just so you know!

My site was a "Reported Attack Site" or giving virus warnings when I had Clicksor ads on it. I removed those and the problem went away.

Do you have any ads running on your site?

@Fowler My site had a banner from a site that is listed as suspicious from this diagnostic. I deleted the banner so I'm hoping that fixed that problem.

@theezy No I don't have any ads but I do have several affiliate banners.

Try one of your affiliate banners, then... maybe that could be causing the problem, which may need to be removed, perhaps?
