Help on Blending

Hey, not a request, but a graphics question. How am I to make a pattern blend over a gradient such as this:

If you're using Photoshop, make a new layer and fill it with the pattern you want.

Then right click the layer and go to 'Blending Options'. There will then be a drop down box of different ways to blend layer with the ones below it. I usually use 'Overlay', but it depends from graphic to graphic.

You can also adjust the opacity such with the options there.

You could experiment with making the pattern white, putting it on overlay and then playing with the opacity of the layer ^_^
