Help! phpBB sql error

my forum http://liquidfx.tk recently went down with a My sql error. it says

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Unknown MySQL server host 'mysql14.000webhost.com' (2) [2005]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

i havent made any changes recently so i dont know what it could be. please help :shrug:

Hmmmm... if you haven't touched anything, my best guess is a failed MySQL server on their end. Now I may be completely wrong (don't know too much more about MySQL than what I have to), but it may be best to send in a support ticket via your 000webhost account.

Apparently their server monitoring service doesn't check the MySQL servers;

never mind, its back. dont know what the problem was, but i guess i should start backing up more often

It was probably either a drive fail, or another site with a large database was using up most of the server resources. Overall, it happens, even on most shared paid hosting plans.

Backing up regularly is definitely something to start doing if you aren't now. My VPS does a weekly backup, and I backup whenever I make a major change to the FTP files.

Glad to hear it's working though ^.^
