Help. Promoting a General Chat Forum.

So, I've recently reopened my general chat forum The Chat Center. I am now ready to work my butt off to get this forum active.

What is the best way for me to promote this? What do you think we actually work?

Well to start off, I think you should think about getting a smaller domain. If not a TLD, then for sure one of the free ones such as CO.CC or CZ.CC

Our co.cc domain is transferring because we had to switch nameservers. It could take up to 48 hours. We also plan to get a TLD domain. I'll probably be purchasing it today or tomorrow. 🙂

Yep...... actually PA. Terrible weather. Just shoveled my driveway and now I got about 4in. on top of what I just cleared. Really not a good weekend. Plus I lost power a few hours ago.

If I was you I wouldn't promote it until I had reliable hosting and a TLD domain name. Your promotion efforts will not be effective if your host is down or if your domain name is one that is difficult to remember.

You could start promoting it right here on FP, by submitting to some directories and top sites, posting on other related forums with a sign link back to your forum and making helpful comments on related blogs.
