Help with installing mybb

I want to install MyBB, but cannot seem to do so, i downloaded it, and viewed some videos, but they all need tons of downloads. If anyone is good with MyBB, and can help me through ect. it will be of much help :}

Its pretty easy actually. I just followed the Wiki for installing it on my first installation.

Has this been installed for you?

1. Create Database (User & Table along with table prefix)
2. Create File/Folder such as "/forums" or "/forum" = disregarding the "" 's and / 's
3. Upload the zip file of mybb to that file/folder
4. extract all
5. go to http;//yoururl.something/yourfilefolder/install
6. follow the installer steps.

This was only a simple overview.

And you DO NOT need "tons of downloads" anyone who says otherwise don't know what they're doing, just download the one version of mybb you will be running is all that you need to download and then upload to your file you created called your "root folder" in mybb/forum terms. :great:

Be sure your CHMOD settings are correct and DO NOT tell anyone what you have set them to. :great:

And be sure to follow mybb's installation tips "FULLY."

It's very easy to do and you should look to try and do it yourself, all you need to do is upload your MyBB folder, set the CHMOD permissions up and then navigate to the install page. It's about the same difficulty as phpBB is to install.
