Hi there,
I was trying to find a solution for my problem. I have my Xbox set up like this:
HDMI into monitor
VGA set up into splitter with AUX output for stereo
With that I get picture on my monitor and audio through stereo. However I forgot my splitter, any other way I could set this up?
Well if you have HDMI into your monitor, you are fine there as it carries HD sound and video. Where exactly was the SVGA splitter going to? Were you trying to dual monitor your setup and your other monitor doesn't have HDMI? Hence you would use the patch cord for your stereo sound.
Well my monitor doesn't support sound, so I had the RYB cables put into a splitter into an AUX cable and AUX cable into speakers. How can I do that without the bridge and splitter? All I have is the video and the Red and Yellow sound cords.
No no, heres how the set u is:
The monitor is a basic LCD samsung monitor, on my PC I use two speakers plugged into the computer. The Monitor has a VGA and HDMI output. So I connect to Xbox via HDMI and VGA to PC. So when Xbox is on, I switch the source on the monitor.
To get sound to work, I would use the basic Xbox connection (with Red yellow white) and plug those into a splitter, so that red and yellow turn into an AUX cable. I can then plug the aux into a speaker.
So the problem is I don't have the splitter. So is there anyway to have red and yellow plugs work on say a PC?
