Ok so I added chatbam.com as an add on domain to my subdomain andrew.stevenjcarr.com

I created FTP and password for chatbam in the cpanel upon adding it as an add on domain. I have tried many times and cannot login using the user and password I made for it. I have also removed it and added the domain many times to add a new account.

Yeah, I need a login for that. The one I got when i put it as a add on domain doesnt work.

An add on domain doesn't incorporate a new cpanel account. After you've added the account you should see a folder in your FTP under the name of "chatbam.com" or something along those lines, that controls your "chatbam.com" under the add on. Everything you upload there will be the contents of "chatbam.com" 😉

But I have a cpanel for chatabm

How do a park a domain on chatbam just using the FTP?

That is the problem. I did that, I re added on the domain several times with the new FTP username and password but yet, no access

To answer this short and sweet, there is no way other than through cPanel unless you ask your host.

Right, depending on what you mean here are some soloutions:

You cant access FTP:
Install Filezilla, use the login details:
Host: ftp.andrew.stevenjcarr.com Username: [cPanel Username] Password: [cPanel Password] Port 21 [unless your host changed it]

You want to add an addon Domain:
Go into your cpanel
Go into addon domains
Add it there and add the details asked for.
The FTP account for the addon domain will be: [usernameyouhavechosen]@andrew.stevenjcarr.com (without the brackets bit replaced with what is asked for) and the password will be the one you selected.

Really, this suppport should be sent to your host... If they say something you don't understand or don't work reply saying it aint working or what does that mean. If they aren't usefull, complain to managment... lol.

@SA, thank you so much, I contacted my host and it was an error on their part 🙂 + rep and solved.
