Your Quick Review
Forum Pros:
No doubt about it, your overall look is amazing. And quite captures the theme of Heroes. The banner is very well designed, with a great image, and text that compliments the forum's look. Your skin, although it is very dark, works nicely, and the white text is very easy to read.
One big accomplishment i must comment on, is your Users Online, at one time, record already. 44 total. That means your forum is already taking notice, and fast! I've been up for a year, and my highest total so far is a 51, that's all. So, you're forum has great potential, but, you may want to get more "Heroes" related content on the forum.
Forum Cons:
It's great you have a fanfiction based on the show and it's characters, but don't let that be the only spotlight. It almost seems this forum would be perfect, for all Heroes discussion, and maybe even a Heroes RPG Board. Those would generate alot of fans from the show, into joining.
You New/Old post icone need a little touch up, since they're the default icons. I would suggest a Blacj Circle for Old posts, and the "O" in heroes for Boards with new posts ... believe me, that would work brilliantly, and give the forum that extra Heroes quality.
It's also nice to see you've made sure to get some topics atrted across the boards. That's crucial when starting a new forum. But, as a fan yourself, you really should have alot more topics going in the Heroes General Discussion Board. That's what's going to hook new members in the first place.

Nothing really. But, i'm pick when it comes to default New/Old Board icons. I think my suggestion would be a great route, to at least try.

I've never seen a single episode myself. But, BELIEVE ME, you have a great forum design, just work hard on getting fresh, and interesting topics. You're getting buzz already, whether you know it or not; but guests aren't interested at first, when there's not much content to go on with discussions. ... have those discussions ready for when they arrive.
